Relaxation Yoga | 60 - 75 min.
Let go. Relax. Wind down. Enjoy some quiet time. Whatever you call it--it's you time! Traditional yoga poses, breathing techniques, and meditations are fit together to let you restore mind, body, and soul. A class for all levels--anyone who wants to relax! It is slower paced and includes long relaxation poses with guided meditation (known as yoga nidra).
Stress Management Meditation | 60min
New on our schedule for Fall 2018, join Sue Budz, trained and qualified MBSR teacher (UMASS Medical School, Center for Mindfulness) for an hour class focused on managing and reducing stress. This Fall session will explore four types of awareness meditation: breath, walking, gentle yoga and body scan. Each class will include at least two meditations as well as time for questions, thoughts and wonders. Wear comfortable clothes for this group class. No experience is required!
All Levels Yoga | 60 min.
A yoga practice is progressive. The foundations of a yoga practice can be layered to continuously deepen and advance, This class goes through the progressions of poses so it is both beginner friendly and appropriate for yogis advancing their practice. Expect to learn poses that build strength and poses that increase flexibility/mobility. Breathing techniques and brief meditations may also be instructed during this holistic, hour class.
Prenatal Yoga| 60 min.
Prenatal yoga can help to prepare for delivery, bond mom and baby, and support moms after delivery with mindfulness, stretching and strengthening exercises, and community. Prenatal yoga is appropriate for those with or without yoga experience and adapts poses, breathing, and relaxation techniques to pregnant women. This class is appropriate for all stages of pregnancy with approval of your healthcare provider. No prior yoga experience needed.
For Experienced Students
Flow & Restore Yoga | 60 min.
This class is the best of both worlds. Practice an energizing, whole body flow practice to stretch and tone the body, followed by some quality time in restorative and yin poses for deeper relaxation and release. It's everything you could want in an hour class: a work out, a stretch, relaxation, and time to focus on yourself. It's a great way to start the day and to start working towards a flow practice if you have been taking All Levels classes.
Intermediate Flow Yoga | 75 min.
A Vinyasa flow class that sequences of standing poses and detailed transitions between poses. Expect to learn and practice standing poses, arm balances, inversions, and advanced pranayam. A more vigorous practice, this class is best suited for intermediate students who minimally know how to enter poses such as the warriors, bridge, upward-facing dog, and shoulderstand safely, without demonstration. More advanced options are presented throughout class and an upbeat, inspired playlist keeps the whole room grooving!
Funky Advanced Flow Yoga | 75 min.
An Intermediate Flow class that kicks it up just one more notch! A more vigorous practice, this class is best suited for intermediate students who are looking to advance their level of practice and fitness. More advanced options are presented throughout this faster paced class and it's a funky, soulful practice to jump start your day!
