Two classes sandwich the month with opportunity to practice at home or in the studio.
The two meetings on February 2 and 23 will be focused on the foundations of yoga and how to perform basic postures safely. This class sets you up with the subtle nuances of a studio practice, too, like where to put your mat, what props do you really need, and why it's usually not suggested to leave during resting poses.
We will devote time to discussing why practicing yoga is beneficial and identify ways for individuals to maintain a practice long-term.
There is also opportunity for everyone to identify and modify for any specific limitations in the body including how to modify poses for injury, for curvier bodies, and for conditions that may otherwise seem to prevent you from attending classes.
